iOS 4.3.2 Released – STAY AWAY
Apple has released a new Firmware Version 4.3.2. For those of you with a jailbroken/unlocked device we advise you stay away from the update until further notice. According to www.redmondpie.com, “This is just a minor update to fix bugs, DNS issues, fix document viewer, FaceTime issues, vulnerabilities and some battery life woes on all iOS devices.” In other words…this is Apples attempt to catch a few people off guard and get them to either re-lock their iPhones or to erase their Jailbreak. You have been warned.
iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak
With Apple’s recent release of iOS 4.3.1 many users have been waiting for the next available Jailbreak and Unlock for their iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. We are happy to announce that an Untethered Jailbreak for these devices has been released! If you are currently on iOS 4.3.1 you can stop by our store and we can Jailbreak your device. We have experienced some difficulty with the Unlocks however. If you rely on an Unlock for your device I would recommend staying at whatever firmware you are currently on until the bugs get worked out.
uBreakiFix Breaks the iPad and iPad 2
Our Distribution center had a little extra time on their hands so they decided to do a drop test of Apple’s highly anticipated iPad 2 and iPad. Results may surprise you…
Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak now available!
The long wait is over! Feels like I say that a lot…
Those of you waiting for the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4 and 3GS on iOS 4.2.1 can now come in and get it done. If you have been dealing with a tethered jailbreak, great news, we can use this new software over your existing jailbreak to make it untethered.
Now this does not mean that your iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.1 can be unlocked. Only the iPhone 3G and 3GS can be unlocked on iOS 4.2.1. Both require updating the Baseband to the iPad’s baseband which is currently irreversible.
Jailbreaking and Unlocking can be very confusing, if you have any questions do not hesitate to call our store. Our number is (813) 435-3909. Hope to see you soon!

Bottom line…iPhone 4’s are very fragile. Don’t let this happen to you!
3G and 3GS Unlock for ALL firmwares!
This has been out for a while, but I just wanted to share it here in case you have not yet had your iPhone unlocked.
All 3G iPhones can now be jailbroken and unlocked. From 3.x firmwares all the way to the most current 4.2.1 firmware. There is a red flag however. Any 3G/3GS iPhone on iOS 4.1 or 4.2.1 requires upgrading the Baseband to the iPad’s baseband, 6.15. What this means is that if you are on 4.2.1 with the iPad baseband, you will not be able to restore your iPhone to Apples stock iOS 4.2.1 firmware. With iOS 4.2.1, Apple made a baseband requirement in order to restore/update to that version. If you are on 4.1 you may safely update your phone to 4.2.1, then come in and have us jailbreak and unlock it.
As for the 3GS, you can jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.2.1, but it is a tethered jailbreak. Meaning, anytime you need to reboot your phone, you will need to jailbreak it. Developers are working hard trying to make an untethered jailbreak, but there is no ETA. In our opinion, if you are on 4.1, it is better to stay on that firmware and upgrade your baseband to 6.15 in order to have the untethered jailbreak. If you have already updated to iOS 4.2.1, we can try to downgrade your iPhone, if your SHSH’s are saved in Cydia. If not, you will have to have a tethered jailbreak with your unlock.
We know some of this can be confusing to some people. If you have any questions, feel free to call the store and we can help you determine which jailbreak would be best for you.
Now Jailbreaking iOS 4.1
Well we have some good news and some bad news…
The good news is a Jailbreak for iOS 4.1 has finally surfaced.
The bad news…there is no unlock for 4.1 and there probably wont be one for a month or so. From what I’ve read, an unlock probably wont be released until iOS 4.2 is available.
The only way to have an unlocked iPhone on 4.1 is to have you phone currently unlocked on 4.0.1/4.0.2 and created a custom firmware version to upgrade the iOS without upgrading the baseband. May sound confusing to some, but to make it clear, if you have updated your iPhone to iOS 4.1 you cannot unlock it at this time.
We hope to see some of you in for a Jailbreak soon. And ask us about our Ultimate Jailbreak package (especially those of you with an iPhone 4)!
Apple Releases iOS 4.1!
Hey everybody, just letting you know that Apple has released an update for your iOS based device.
Here is a bit of info on it from www.redmondpie.com
“Apple has just released the very final version for iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPod touches. This version of iOS brings a number of new features for iPhone and iPod touch users including: Game Center, HDR Photography for iPhone 4, iTunes Ping, HD video upload on YouTube and MobileMe for iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4G and so on. If you want to keep your jailbreak and unlock, you better not update to this latest firmware now until and unless new jailbreak and unlock tools are available for download.”
See that at the end there? STAY AWAY FROM iOS 4.1 IF YOU RELY ON A JAILBREAK/UNLOCK!
Apple Releases iOS 4.0.2 DO NOT UPGRADE IF…
Today Apple has releases iOS 4.0.2 Firmware Update. For those of you who rely on a carrier unlock or a Jailbreak, DO NOT update to this firmware. This release is Apple’s way of patching the exploit used to Jailbreak their software. Although I do not know the specifics of what is included in this update, I am pretty sure that it is nothing of important value, otherwise it would be called iOS 4.1. To compare to older firmwares, it is the equivalent of Firmware Update 3.1.3. A lot of people who relied on unlocks got trapped on a locked iPhone after that update, which was just a patch for a Jailbreak.
Now for 3G users, it is possible to upgrade to iOS 4.0.2 and then downgrade if necessary. However, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 cannot be downgraded.
So once again, for those of you relying on a Jailbreak/Unlock, DO NOT upgrade to iOS 4.0.2
